Who Didn't Want The Constitution Published?
The Meiji Constitution was opposed by a man by the name of Tokugawa Ieyasu. The picture below is an artists scope of Ieyasu. He opposed the constitution because he did not want the Emperor Meiji to be in great power or to have Western-form legal systems. He was a subtle and intelligent man who joined the Hojo clan the Switched alliances to Hideyoshi's army of conquest which destroyed the Hojo clan.
